Happy Easter and Spring Break

Happy Belated Easter! We had a wonderful first Easter as the Dailey's! Our Easter weekend began with our church's presentation of the Living Last Supper. This was a moving night and Josh even participated as a disciple, Simon the Zealot. He did a great job of acting his part, as well as the rest of the men that participated. They put in weeks of practice into the night and gave back to our church and community in a wonderful way. Our praise band provided the music and as always were fabulous.
* I had no pictures of the night, so this is "borrowed" from facebook :) *

We attended Easter Sunday Services at church also. I just love the contemporary service we attend! From the praise band to the message to the people...everything about it is wonderful. I'm so thankful Josh has found his place at Union UMC also. Sharing it with him only makes it more wonderful. It warms my heart to call Union "our church."

And Easter is not complete without some candy. My sweet mom made us a pretty basket filled with all kinds of goodies. This basket plus me being at home all week equal lots of extra calories.

Now, as for Spring Break...it has been filled with lots of trips to the dump. I have been in the middle of operation out with the old. I have done lots of cleaning out to find space for our new wedding gifts. The closet, bathroom drawers, kitchen cabinets, pantry have been cleaned out along with a general cleaning of the house. Our guest room is still kind of a catch all place, but I starting to believe it will be like this for a while until everything has a home. I have also been to Belk and Bed, Bath, and Beyond several times to return and purchase things we needed. It is way to much fun spending all our gift cards.

It's back to work Monday, but only about 6 or 7 weeks left of school. Summer is just around the corner!

Punta Cana: The Resort

Our honeymoon was incredible! Since this was our first big vacation together I thought I would warn Josh that I am very much a tourist when it comes to trips like this. I take pictures of everything, hence the over 200 pictures I came home with from a 5 night vacation. He was patient with me and let me snap away...sweet husband, even though I know he was probably complaining in his head :) We left on the Monday after the wedding which was the BEST idea-so glad people suggested that to us. I can't imagine having to catch a plane on Sunday. Most of Monday was spent traveling. We actually landed in Punta Cana around 1:00, but after all the lines, customs, and hour and a half bus ride to the hotel, we didn't actually arrive at the resort until around 4:00. Our resort, Zoetry Aqua Punta Cana, was amazing. It was a smaller resort, and in the back of my mind I was a little worried because it was so small, but it ended up being perfect. The whole resort was super nice and from the moment we arrived there was staff at every corner making sure we had everything we needed. Everyone was also so nice! I realize it's there job, but by the end of the week we had grown to really like everyone.

Juan Antonio! We loved him!

The weather was good all week also! There were some clouds here and there, but they would come in and clear out quickly. We couldn't have asked for a better week at a better place.

The Rehearsal

Our wedding weekend began with a fabulous rehearsal and dinner. As all of us were wedding veterans, we knew the drill when it came to the actual ceremony, and with the help of two wonderful directors the rehearsal was a breeze. The night continued at the Vista Room downtown. Josh's mom did a great job with everything from the menu to the decor. It was so nice to have the night to visit with friends and family before the big day. It was a perfect way to start the weekend!

Can you tell I'm lacking creativity with the adjectives and writing? Not my best. Sorry...my brain is approaching bedtime.

My brother, who so kindly missed coaching in two of his tournament games for the wedding.

Just for Josh...

Sweet girls!

Pretty Moms

The ladies...

The Gentlemen...

A big thanks to Josh's step-dad for taking most of these pictures! I'm so thankful someone was able to capture the moment for us! My dad also made a very sweet and fun video of Ashlee and Josh through the years that we showed at the dinner. I know I've posted before, but I'm posting again...just because I can.

It was a night to always remember!

Showering the Dailey's...Part 2

Our last shower before we got married was non other than a monogram shower...do our friends know me or what? I'm crazy for a monogram and will slap it on just about anything I can. Once again everything was so perfectly done. I know I have used the word "perfect" a lot during our engagement, but that word just describes it so. We received so many fun monogrammed goodies...I seriously can't get enough of them! I failed to get a picture of me and the hostesses, I never did get the hang of being the center of attention and not the one documenting the day, none the less, I was very grateful for all the love and thought they put into the afternoon.

How cute is this?

Somewhere in the mix of all the festivities both of our workplaces hosted showers as well. We are so blessed to have friends and family that are so thoughtful and sweet. Everyone helped make our engagement so memorable and fun. We are two very lucky people!

Now onto the wedding weekend events...yay!!
